Bait cloning is a step included in our ULTImate Y2H™ service when a bait template less than 3,000 bp* is sent to us.
The bait plasmid is used for PCR amplification and the amplified PCR product is cloned in the chosen bait vector:
  > as an N- or C-terminal fusion with the DNA Binding Domain,
  > in the LexA or Gal4 system,
  > for constitutive or inducible expression.

The newly cloned bait is systematically fully sequence checked.
Should the bait template be not available in your lab, we can obtain and clone it for you.
