Hybrigenics was founded in 1997 as a spin-off of Pasteur Institute to develop and industrialize a high throughput platform to detect and identify protein interactions using the two-hybrid technology in yeast (Yeast Two-Hybrid, Y2H).

This unique Y2H platform is used for internal research purposes at Hybrigenics, and provided as a fee-for-service activity to external customers involved in all life sciences.

Hybrigenics' own R&D projects are focused against cancer, with inecalcitol in clinical development for prostate cancer, and a discovery program targeting the subset of Ubiquitin-Specific Proteases (USP) which are linked to proliferation of cancer cells.
